Introduction to Drupal for (non-Drupal) developers

With Drupal developers becoming very popular on the job market, the demand for guidance of developers from other technologies becomes high. Last week, with the publication of the article Becoming a Drupal coder: a wise carreer move a clean document guiding to all Drupal information resources online and offline was published.

It happens to be I'm doing a presentation this week targetted at developers working with another technologies. So I decided to publish my presentation slides.

"Introduction to Drupal", presentation slides

Following up on my presentation slides of "Drupal 7 - What's new (from an end-user perspective) ?", I have now upload my slides "Introduction to Drupal" of a presentation I did for our Drupal seminar at Calibrate seminar, organised by BuzzBerry.

This is a non-technical introduction. It's more targeted to people who have no idea on what Drupal is and what makes it so great.

Drupal 7 - What's new (from an end-user perspective) ?

Today we hosted our Drupal seminar at Calibrate seminar, organised by BuzzBerry.

I did a presentation on Drupal in general (which I'll upload later) and on Drupal 7 specifically. We wanted to give our (potential) clients and Drupal people in general a short overview of what Drupal 7 means for end users. You can find the presentation on slideshare, download it or watch it below.

Drupal showcase on Fosdem 2009

I just come back from doing my Fosdem Drupal showcase of Uit In Vlaanderen, a cultural events website built on an API.

Now you can download my slides below.

What am I talking about?

  • Building an event site
  • Drupal site built on top of API (data not in Drupal)
  • Modules (contributed and custom)
  • Extending block visibility
  • Service attachments
  • Theming and performance tips

Especially the service attachments module part might interest you. A module that gathers videos, photos etc. related to nodes from youtube, flickr, wikipedia, ... All automatically. More on that soon.
